Time flies and today we have different materials to create real art with really thin strings and stones. More and more fashion designers use macrame elements in their clothes. For example, Christian Dior in his last collection used macrame for the bag strap, which is called the macrame braided lambskin strap.❤️

Perhaps it’s part of fashion’s growing arts and crafts movement, but the Ohne Titel designers were not the only ones reworking the textile in novel ways. The Emanuel Ungaro designer Esteban Cortazar showed elaborate macramé belts cinched around billowy gowns; Rachel Comey incorporated it into chunky sandals and ankle-strapped moccasins; Kate Moss did a cotton macramé vest for her Topshop collection, and at Jimmy Choo, it was worked into a chic leather satchel with a price tag that would make a folk artist faint.
